Administrative Professional

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity where you will play an important role in the daily operation of a small business.  We are seeking a part-time Administrative Professional for 4 to 6 hours five days a week to start.      

Administrative Professional will manage the office and handle duties as assigned by the owners.  We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team.  The ability to manage multiple tasks, while maintaining schedules and administrative support, is essential in this position.  The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and highly organized.  Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.

In this roe you will be expected to:

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, data entry, scanning, copying etc. to management

  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, spreadsheets, presentations, emails etc.

  • Develop and maintain paper and electronic filing systems

  • Conduct research online and offline as requested

  • Manage scheduling for owners and shared resources (company car, equipment, etc.)

  • Maintain office supplies by managing inventory and ordering supplies

  • Assume responsibility for maintenance of office equipment

  • Maintaining social media presence and managing weekly and monthly email communications

  • Answer and handle telephone calls and other receptionist duties as required

  • Respond to requests for information

  • Plan and coordinate small and large meetings and events

  • Making travel arrangements

  • Bookkeeping and assist with quarterly and yearly financial reports

AeroBarrier Field Technicians

Do you have a background in building trades? Are you proficient in basic operation of trucks, utility trailers and mechanical/computer equipment?  Do you have your driver’s licence?  Are you interested in becoming part of a team that is doing something new and revolutionary?  If so, we would like to meet you.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity where you will play an important role in the delivery of a high quality service to our growing list of clients.   

AeroBarrier Service Technicians will:

  • Communicate with builders and home owners

  • Assemble and operate air sealant equipment

  • Prepare spaces for the AeroBarrier process by protecting deliberate openings and horizontal surfaces

  • Operate blower door equipment to generate pre and post application air leakage test data

  • Regularly inspect equipment and product to ensure consistency and quality of service

  • Ensure job-site clean-up and building closure post-application is compliant with company expectations and standards

  • Communicate and collaborate with contracted services to ensure timely and organized process for all involved

  • Maintain a professional appearance and communication at job sites and all company functions

  • Routinely report to head office to identify challenges, inventory requirements, and client feedback to support continuous improvement and growth of services to meet client needs

  • Manage inventory; order of additional air sealant product, tools, and materials

  • Manage a clean and organized shop and office setting

  • Complete daily, bi-weekly and monthly maintenance/calibration of equipment, tools, trailer, and vehicle

  • Work with the sales team to determine scope of work for each project and scheduling

  • You must possess a technical understanding of residential construction (additional building science training will be provided)

  • You must maintain a clean driving record, vehicle is provided for travel to job-sites

  • Preference given to those with a background or understanding of building envelope science

  • Ability to tow a utility trailer an asset.
