Tate Engineering completed a recommissioning and energy assessment of a provincial office building using RETScreen modelling to evaluate system performance and improvement opportunities. A normalized baseline year was developed to correlate energy consumption with climatic conditions, enabling accurate comparison of multiple HVAC upgrade scenarios. RETScreen’s financial and feasibility analysis tools were used to identify the most cost-effective long-term solution. The study established a clear energy baseline and quantified emissions at approximately 26.7 tCO₂e, providing a data-driven roadmap for reducing operating costs and improving system performance.
