Roxanne Tate, P.Eng

President and Founder
8H4A2452

Roxanne founded Tate Engineering in 2012 with a vision to advance energy efficiency in buildings and improve the way we design, construct, and operate them. A Professional Engineer with a Master of Applied Science from Dalhousie University, her early career in manufacturing and R&D sparked a deep interest in sustainability and building performance, an interest that has since become her life’s work.

As President, Roxanne leads with clarity and compassion. She’s a strategic thinker who loves building strong, values-aligned teams, and her greatest joy is watching those around her grow. Whether it’s delivering impactful work in affordable housing or designing high-performance buildings that benefit people and the planet, Roxanne brings tenacity and heart to everything she does.

Her leadership is shaped by her own journey from growing up in poverty to becoming a business owner, teaching her the importance of community, resilience, and self-belief. Outside of work, she finds peace and perspective through yoga, hiking, gardening, and simply being in nature.

Roxanne is driven by purpose and believes that every challenge holds a lesson. She’s proud of the collaborative, client-centered approach that defines Tate, and of the team that brings it to life every day.
