Tom is a Construction Manager at Tate, focusing on multi-unit residential construction projects. Originally from Toronto, Tom studied Engineering and Management at McMaster University, spending summers working in construction where he discovered his passion for the pace and environment of job sites. Moving to Halifax in 2019, Tom joined Tate as a Junior Project Manager, finding it the perfect opportunity to apply his education in a practical setting.

He is energized by the fast-paced nature of site work and the attention to detail required in planning and execution, taking pride in seeing projects come to life and deliver on clients’ goals. Tom values effectiveness, believing that solutions should be thoughtfully tailored to each project while being mindful of client objectives, a mindset supported by his background and hands-on experience.

A proud moment for Tom was being part of the team that won Tate’s largest construction project to date, opening doors to larger opportunities while reflecting the team’s hard work and commitment. Drawn to Tate for its personal, growth-oriented environment, Tom appreciates how Tate’s flexibility and client-focused care set it apart in the market, allowing the team to tailor services to create meaningful value.

Outside of work, Tom’s training in martial arts has deeply shaped his approach to life and work, instilling a strong work ethic, resilience, and a commitment to community that he brings to every project at Tate.
